How long until search finds a new synonym?

The app tags products within seconds. Shopify then has to reindex each product before search sees the change, and that can take anywhere from a few minutes to about 90 minutes. If a synonym does not work yet, wait an hour and search again.

Will customers see the _syn- tags?

Most themes hide tags that start with an underscore. If your theme shows product tags or tag filters, check one product page after your first sync.

How do I remove everything?

In the app, click "Remove all synonym tags", wait for the sync to finish, then uninstall.
